RCES presents “Reading Favorites
Night”
A highlight of each school year is the annual public reading of poems and short stories by RCES students in Grades K-7. This event will be Thursday, October 13, at 6:30 PM in the RCES gym. If it is warm that evening, we’re hopeful the students will be doing their public speaking and that the spectators will be enjoying the presentations in air conditioned comfort.
Construction Update: Hookups of new air conditioners is ahead of the construction schedule. All 3rd and 4th grade rooms now have air conditioning as do most of the 6th grade rooms. The Library, 5th grade, and 7th grade rooms will be on line by hopefully the end of this week. Next will be the gym, cafeteria, and kitchen. The facia is about 75 % complete. Guttering and downspouts will be installed once the facia is finished. Excavation has begun on the new gym. Rappahannock County Administrator John McCarthy is putting the RCHS Track / Soccer-Football Field upgrade project out to bid this week.
