Mrs. Payne is survived by her daughter June A. Clarke of Fredericksburg, VA, two sisters Nina Thorpe of The Plains, VA, Lucy Stockslager of Rockville, MD and a granddaughter.
She was a member of Remington Baptist Church and an active member of Virginia Draft Horse and Mule Association.
A graveside service will be held by the Rev. James Branyon on Saturday, October 8, at 10:30 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper, VA.
