film buff and Cinema Paradiso clerk.“Film is an art form, a very valuable art form ” explained Joyce Kramer, who is Plotnick’s sister as well as owner and founder of Cinema Paradiso. Kramer highlights the artistic side of film at her store by combining it with an art gallery called “The Packing Shed” in an adjacent room. The name of the gallery comes from the building that contains the two businesses, historically known as “The Apple Packing Shed” and originally used to package fruit for Sunnyside Orchard. The name “Cinema Paradiso” comes from the title of a critically acclaimed Italian film about a boy whose love of films defines Ids entire life.
