But, hunting with a bow and arrow was something you could relate to. In your youth you may have made bows and arrows and hoped you would one day be able to hunt with the bow. I did. And, it was a tool that we know was used in this country before the age of the white man. You could identify with it.
Muzzle Loaders
When DGIF gave us a black powder/muzzleloader season, again, I was a big fan and supporter. There was skill involved, and it made the hunt more challenging than using dad’s old “thuddy-ought-six”. And, you knew that,in this country for many years, the muzzle loader, the black powder rifle, the musket, and the Brown Bess had been used by your forebears to put meat on the table.
