Gid Brown Bible Baptist Church of Washington will be having their revival which started Sunday, October 2 and continues through Friday, October 7 at 7:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Evangelist Bennie Beckum from Georgia. There will be special singing and nursery provided. Pastor John Burke invites all to attend.
Maranatha Baptist Church in Amissville invites you to attend their fall revival beginning Sunday, Oct. 9 through Friday, Oct. 14. Each night revival will begin at 7:30 p.m. except Sunday the 9th when service will begin at 6:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Evangelist Bennie Beckum of Georgia. There will be special singing and nursery provided. The church is located on US 211 just west of Route 229 intersection. Everyone is welcome.
Willis Chapel United Methodist Church in Huntly will have a Homecoming Celebration on October 9. Their morning service will begin at 10 a.m. with Rev. Leah DeLong their new minister. At 2 p.m. they will celebrate God’s love at Reager School, their social hall beside the church. They will have an “Old Fashion Covered Dish Meal” followed by a special autumn hymn sing with three gospel groups performing. Everyone is welcome to attend and to meet and welcome Rev. Leah Delong to the community.
A Precept Bible class entitled “Covenants” will begin on Tuesday, October 11 at 9 a.m. at the Rappahannock County Library. An evening class on the same subject will be taught from 7 to 9 p.m. starting October 25 at the Amissville Baptist Church. Beth Farmer Poplin will return to Woodville Baptist Church on Sunday, October 9 at 11 a. m. She will be joined by Evangelist Paul Jenkins, who works with youth ministries. Beth is an accomplished sacred and gospel music artist with two albums, “Reflections of the Father” and “Sonshine.” Both Beth and Paul have overwhelming response to their ministry. You will not want to miss this opportunity to hear and meet them in person. The Woodville Church is located on Route 522 five miles south of Sperryville and 15 miles north of Culpeper. Pastor Doug Farmer and the congregation invite the community to join them.
A Kids’ Community Bible Club sponsored by Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church, Trinity Episcopal Church and Washington Baptist Church has begun its second year. All children in Grades 1-3 are invited to attend. The Kids’ Club meets on Wednesday afternoons from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the Washington Baptist Church.
