In what surely is a Rappahannock first, “Smiles”—Flint Hill’s new “art space” opening November 13—\^ill feature music and art along with dentistry, all under one roof. In addition to formally introducing the community to the county’s only practicing dentist, the open house will provide an opportunity to listen to popular D.C. jazz pianist, Bill Harris, who also serves as the office manager for his wife’s— Dr. Stella Liong—new dental practice.
Pianist and composer Harris, a jazz favorite in Washington, D.C. since the late 1980s, has built a popular following over the years at venues as varied as the Willard Room, the Smithsonian, Blues Alley, and the World Bank. Among his honors is Hennessy Cognac’s “Best of DC Jazz Competition.” As time permits, Harris will bring his talents to the keyboard at this unique new facility.
