“This is not as big as the one I was involved with when we held it at the firehouse, several years ago, but we (RAA) would like to see it get that big,” said Hitt.
“We would like to involve more of the Amissville community, and hold it at the firehouse next year. Amissville needs a community event, like we have had in the past. Everything we do at RAA/RCB effects the youth of our area, not only with baseball, but with a sense of volunteerism,” continued Hitt.
Festival food
There was plenty of food on hand including hot dogs, hamburgers and tasty barbeque.
There was a silent auction that included golfing for a foursome from Fauquier Springs Country Club, a Mary Kay Basket from Samantha Wilson, Attic Treasures donated a basket, Bowl America Gift Certificates and a beautiful dish, garden from the Amissville Nursery plus many other items.
“Thanks to the Poe’s and the Berg’s for donating great yard sale items to the RAA/RCB table,” said Nancy Shuck.
