Enroll now for GED classes in Rappahannock County. Evening GED classes are designed for adults over the age of 18 years old. Classes are Monday and Thursday evenings from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. You must register with Regional Adult Education for PD # 9 in order to enroll in class. There is a $25 assessment fee for pre and post test assessments, but the class and books are free. Enrollment is limited to 8 students, so call early to reserve your seat. December 2: WCDS To Host 4th Annual “Art from the Heart” Event
On Friday, December 2nd, Wakefield Country Day School will host its fourth annual “Art from the Heart” Art Show and Auction. This year’s event, to be held in the Leonard M. Cowherd Auditorium at the school, will showcase original works by 23 local artists and will feature oils, watercolors, mixed media, photography, jewelry, ceramics, and pottery. Reservations for the cocktail buffet, which begins at 6:30 p.m. are $50 per person.
Proceeds from “Art from the Heart” 2005 will help support and enhance the school’s fine arts programs, and provide scholarships to deserving students. This event is open to the public - for reservations please call (540) 6358555, ext. 231.
December: Holiday Food Drive
at Gray Ghost Vineyards
Gray Ghost is sponsoring a special holiday food drive to benefit the Culpeper Food Closet. All non-perishable food and monetary donations qualify you for a drawing to receive free tickets to one of Gray Ghost’s popular events! Winners will be contacted by phone and the tickets will be mailed.
