November is National Hospice Month. Hospice is a program that provides compassionate care and attends to the emotional and spiritual needs of terminally ill patients and their families at an inpatient facility or at the patient’s home. Hopsice of the Rapidan, a leading not-for-profit provider of high quality hospice services in Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange and Rappahannock Counties has teamed up with local libraries to increase public awareness of hospice during November.
Information on Hospice of the Rapidan in recognition of National Hospice Month is on display at the Rappahannock County Library throughout the month of November. It is a time for our communities to celebrate this caring community of individuals. Hospice of the Rapidan enables individuals and families to receive high quality, compassionate end of life care from a team of professionals specially trained in pain management and end of life concerns - usually while remaining in the comfort of their home.
Hospice of the Rapidan is a licensed, nonprofit hospice organization providing skilled medical care and compassionate support to terminally ill patients and their families in Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange, Rappahannock and surrounding counties. Hospice care is available to terminally ill people with a life expectancy of six months or less, regardless of ability to pay.
