In October the Planning Commission proposed changing the zoning axle to define the circumstances under which a , property owner could be allowed to operate a private sewage treatment facility rather than a septic tank and field. On November 16 the Commission held public hearings and on December 5 the Board of Supervisors will have a final public hearing on the proposal. The change would limit approval to cases where a conventional system at an existing residence no longer works.
