lb celebrate its 35th year helping protect the scenic and natural resources of the county, the Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection (RLEP) recently , honored its founder and long-term board member, Phil Irwin, with a special award.
At the organization’s wellattended annual meeting president Paul Farmer praised Phil Irwin as ‘‘perhaps the finest example of environmental activism in the history of the county for his leadership in the long effort to protect Rappahannock’s natural, cultural and historic environment.”
