Shop with a Deputy is soliciting funds now to enable county deputies to give a boost to families. Speaking of boosting, the two county boards are putting their collective creative energies together to make an upgraded football/track/soccer field with lights and bleachers a “can do” project for the public school system in Rappahannock County.
Perhaps balancing the county coffers with county sponsorship from private folks and organizations will make their plans a reality.
Building campaigns and fund raisers have a way of taking on a life of their own and making things happen that may have been discounted as impossible.
The human spirit is a mighty factor. It’s like the energizer bunny - it just keeps going and going.
As we come away from this Thanksgiving table of plenty hopefully refreshed, rested and ready to take on December, let’s keep in mind that all of our bodies, minds and souls need to be fed and nourished so that together we can do great things.
Human potential is a scary and wonderful force. When fed properly, it gains strength and there is no limit to what can be done.
