Position available at the Rust Library, Leesburg VA, to serve as a Part-Time member of the Youth Services department in a team environment. Duties include reference and reader's advisory service at a busy public service desk and planning and conducting programs for preschool and school age children. Candidate must have familiarity with children's books and authors: the ability to relate knowledge to the reading interests and information needs of children and computer skills including the Internet. Ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, creative team player with excellent communication skills and dedication to customer service. Schedule will vary, including weekends and evenings. Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree with courses in assigned or related field.
