The end result is that this assessment will be the most contested assessment ever in Rappahannock County. The county needs a BOA with a very professional and understanding approach to hear the concerns of the citizens. I would advise landowners to start preparing for the assessments by obtaining any copies of appraisals prepared for any reasons over the last two years. This will be good information to supply to the BOA for an appeal. Landowners should request a copy of the work sheets and review to insure the accuracy of property facts.
