Let’s set the record
straight on Bob Dennis’s statements. Mr. Dennis, as chairman of the Board of Assessors, stated that the BOA had reviewed all assessments on the BOS, BOA, Planning Commission and all elected and appointed officials.
This means that the BOA reviewed properties owned not only by the above citizens, but also the Commissioner of Revenue, the Clerk of the Court, Treasurer, School Board Members, Sheriff and Commonwealth’s Attorney. I was shocked that the BOA would red flag any particular group of citizens to test the validity of the assessments.
