The Annual Thanksgiving Service, a tradition started by the Amissville Ruritan Club, is where most of the non-perishable donations come from. The Amissville United Methodist Church is where the boxes and baskets are made and delivered by many groups such as the Amissville Volunteer Fire & Rescue.
