Holiday Closings
The Rappahannock County Sanitary landfill will be closed to the public at noon on Thanksgiving Eve (November 23), on Thanksgiving Day (November 24), Christmas Eve (December 24), and New Year’s Eve (December 31), 2005. All other days during the holiday season will have normal hours of operation. Monday through Saturday 7:30 - 5:30; closed Sunday.
The Flatwood Refuse & Recycling Center will be closed at noon on Thanksgiving Eve, on Thanksgiving Day, at noon on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, and all day Christmas Day and New Year's Day. The regular hours are Wednesday and Thursday 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, and Friday, Saturday and Sunday 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, closed Monday and Tuesday.
