Midshipman Brittany S. Thornhill, the daughter of Cindy Thornhill and C. Gordon Thornhill, Jr. and step daughter of Signe Thornhill of Boston, returned recently to the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy where she is a student, after spending 5 months at sea.
Thornhill sailed aboard the SS Horizon Reliance a container ship as part of the Academy’s required work-study program, which provides our nation’s future mariners with shipboard experience.
