Country Day School Book Fair
The Old Sperryville Bookshop will be conducting a book fair at WCDS Tuesday, December 6th through Friday, December 9th each day from 8:30 a. m. to 4:30. p. m. The sale, which is a fundraiser for the school, will include books recommended by WCDS teachers, new releases, and gift books for preschool through 12th grade readers. The woodworking and art classes, along with the library media center, will hold a show from 5:30-8:30 p. m.
Students from the woodworking class will put Adirondack chairs, tables and footrests on display. Community residents are welcome to place orders for these items.
The art department will show the works of many of its students. Some items on display also will be available for purchase.
Local artist Ted Pellegatta will be signing his 2006 Rappahannock County calendars, which will be on hand for $18 a piece, from 6:30-8:30 p. m.
The library media center will host a Scholastic Book Fair. Popular young adult and adult titles, along with posters and software will be available. All book fair proceeds go toward the purchase of new materials and books for student and staff use.
