Panthers begin with installing a whole new system of offense and defense.
“It’s the same system Fve used the last twenty years,” said Czekaj.
It’s a good year to install the new system, because the team is mostly underclassmen, and the work Czekaj accomplishes now will work for him in the future.
“This is a young squad. For a lot of them, it’s their first year playing basketball,” said Czekaj.
Similar to Czekaj’s football team, the basketball Panthers face a tough schedule of schools that have student bases two or three times the size of Rappahannock However, Coach Czekaj doesn’t think this is as big a concern in basketball as in football.
