The truly awe-inspiring photographs of Sperryville’s Raymond Boc, images which capture both the beauty and emotion around Rappahannock County, are currently on display at the Old Sperryville Bookshop. Boc has turned the landscape and scenes such as the “Village Maple” in Sperryville, “Kilby Farm”, “Mary's Rode” and an “Autumn CalF into works of art that are available as greeting cards and prints ranging in size from 5x7 images to 16x20 framed pieces that would make a wonderful holiday gift.J
“I am always studying the changing quality of light and how it affects the world around me. I often photograph a location or landscape several times to capture the different emotions that light can give to a scene,” said Boc who also enjoys photographing people and events and has contributed to the Rappahannock News on occasion. His more serious aqd artful images see beyond the casual glance and lead the viewer to a more profound experience.
