The path to Sperryville
Boc first visited Sperryville in 1980 on a day trip when he was working in Washington, D.C. “The beauty of this area made a great first impression,” recalled Boc. “Somewhere, the splendor of the mountains and hominess of Sperryville struck a chord that meant I was to return someday,” elaborated Boc. That day would come after Boc reconnected with a former middle and high school friend, Barbara Adolfi, at their 40th high school reunion in 2000, where Adolfi informed Boc that she lived in a place that she was sure he had never heard of- Sperryville. The two started dating long distance less than a year later. Boc made the move to Sperryville after retiring in 2002.
