One of the county’s most respected private organizations—the Rappahannock Animal Welfare League (RAWL) held a fun-filled benefit Saturday evening at the Flint Hill Public House to raise both awareness of its mission and funds for its operations.
Under the catchy phrase, “SALSA RAWLSA,” some 100 animal lovers in Rappahannock County came to enjoy Spanish tapas and paella, dance to Latin tunes, and to bid on exceptional local area art and other valuable gifts to help support the work of this organization.
Sally Cunningham, president of RAWL, reiterated her organization’s appreciation for the many animal lovers in the county who came to SALSA RAWLSA.
While the official tallying isn’t complete, event organizers estimate between $8-10,000 was raised from this event.
