Babysitter’s Training
When you’re not there, the next best care! Babysitter’s Training prepares participants for the many responsibilities associated with caring for young children. The course features confidencebuilding activities, injury prevention, first aid and basic care skills practice. Each participant receives the heavily illustrated "American Red Cross Babysitter’s Handbook” — a valuable on-the-job resource. The Babysitter’s Training course will be offered from 1 to 5 p.m. on June 15 and 16. Minimum age to participate is 11 years old. Tuition of $35 must be paid in advance. Each student will receive a Red Cross babysitter’s back pack! Contact the Red Cross at 825-8611 for more information or to sign up for the class. A few spaces are still available.

Old Dominion Hounds Pony Club is planning a second series of Friday Dressage Schooling Shows this summer, following the first, very successful, series in 2005. The shows will again be held at Windsor Lodge Farm, just outside Flint Hill, and will start at 2 p.m. A new offering this year is a combined test, which will be open to Beginner Novice, Novice, and Training riders,

Dressage shows: June 16, July 14, August 11, and September 15
Combined test: July 9
