“At home I could walk, or take a train if I wanted to go somewhere” said Engen.
The exchange students did get a chance to experience American city life, however, going on trips to places like New York with Aspect organization.
While it was different Rappahannock County surprised the kids in many ways.
“The people here are very nice,” said Lina Golle. Engen agrees. "When I was coming here, I told myself that maybe I would have friends by the third month, but I made friends right away,” said Engen.
