Haf Davies came to Rappahannock County from the United Kingdom to teach English and is leaving to take up a similar post in, coincidentally, Caracas, Venezuela. Davies was offered a contract too attractive to resist, teaching English to tenth graders at the American International School. The excitement is plain in the face of the 28year-old Davies, as she explained that the school is home to children of 38 different nationalities. The nonprofit organization that runs the school, Visiting International Faculty, offered, said Davies, “a much nicer deal”.
