Fauquier got off to a quick start with four runs in the first inning. Nathan Malack made a defensive gem at second base to end the threat. Brett Smith led off the bottom of the first for the Cyclones and belted a triple into left center field and would eventually score on a pass ball. Fauquier added to their lead over the next three innings, however Rappahannock was not to be denied as Chris Myers ripped a second run triple into left field in the 4th inning and Jermaine Butler added a grand slam home run in the 5th to tie the game. Pitchers Andrew Lambdin, Brock Smith, Cody Norris, Chris Myers and Brett Smith all racked up 11 strikeouts for the Cyclones.

The Cyclones next game action will be on Sunday afternoon, June the 11 at Stuart Field when they host round robin games with both Winchester and Fauquier.
