June 5 was the new Piedmont District Supervisor Tbm Taylor’s first meeting , and he took the opportunity to make several new appointments. Former Rappahannock County Sheriff and State Police First Sergeant Gary Settle was appointed to represent Piedmont on the Rappahannock County Planning commission. Settle will replace Thomas Junk, whose term expired in April. Taylor also appointed Sperryville resident Ruth Keiger to serve on the Rappahannock County Water and Sewer Authority.
