Interstate 81 and Interstate 95 with enforcement patrols and aerial speed enforcement projects. This four-day .enforcement effort will be the first of three such Operation Air, Land & Speed safety initiatives.
“On the road and in the sky, state police will be out in full force on Interstates 81 and 95 to remind motorists of the need to slow down and drive responsibly,” said Colonel Flaherty.
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Smart Traffic Centers will be assisting with the enforcement effort by activating variable message signs. Throughout the four-day operation, overhead display boards will feature safety messages for motorists.
