short and begun to set up the lawn chairs. Wow I thought, they’re making a place for me to sit down and rest. Then friends... then my dear “wonderful” wife sits in one chair and my son in the other and both begin to sip on both glasses of tea! That’s right, I’m sweating like I just ran from town and she’s seen me mowing for an hour or two now (it was all hill I swear) and here she has the gaul to turn it into a spectator sport! On top of all that folks she acted like there wasn’t the least little thing wrong with it, and she couldn’t understand why it made me so upset for them to “keep me company” while I mowed!
It all turned out okay though, and I let it all drop the very next day, right after I went to Lowe’s and put a brand new riding mower on our account! Hey, if she can sit and watch me mow then I can sit and watch her while I mow right?

horseshoes tournament a success
The Chester Gap Vol. Fire and Rescue Department held the first of three perhaps even four monthly Horseshoe Tburnaments this past week with a great turnout and a modest take in to help pay for the new piece of equipment. Everyone had a great time and promised to come back for the one next month (July). The entry fee is only $10.00 for singles and $20.00 for doubles so come on out and have a little fun, everyone there sure seemed like they
