By the time Culpeper deputies arrived at at 10516 Sperryville Pike Carter had been taken to Culpeper Regional Hospital for treatment by private transportation. Due to weather conditions prohibiting a helicopter flight, an ambulance transported Mr. Carter to the Charlottesville hospital.
