CASA Program Specialist

Parks, Rec, and Comm Svc

Position available with the CASA (County After School Activities) program for children in grades K-5. Duties include direct supervision of 26 or more CASA site staff at up to 10 different elementary school locations in the County. Maintains staff and student records, assists with budget development and management, which includes participant registration and fee payments. Oversees the planning and implementation of age appropriate activities for program. Ensures state child care licensing standards are met. Substitutes for CASA site staff as needed. Maintains open, professional communications with students, parents, and volunteers. Provides program evaluation, public relations, and compliance standards monitoring. Strong administrative and communication skills are needed. Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in recreation, education or related field and at least 2 years experience operating and supervising children's recreational and instructional activities. Prior staff supervision experience required. Certification in First Aid, CPR for adult, infant and child and TB test required. Requires valid driver's license. DMV check, CPS, and police background checks are required for the successful candidate.
