Supervisors Chairman Gerald Connolly extolled the virtues of telecommuting.
“The traffic just astounded me,* Gordon said. “It really struck a chord with me about how this area could benefit from telecommuting solutions.”
Gordon decided to start providing those solutions through a company called eOffice, which he co-founded in 1994 with a friend from college.
Counties on the outskirts of the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area - like Fauquier - have a lot of people who work in the nation’s capital, Gordon said, and those people would benefit profoundly from reducing or eliminating their need to commute into the city.
