The Women’s Auxiliary of the Wayland Blue Ridge Association, Inc., will celebrate its 30th Annual Black History program on February 25, 2007 by honoring “Black Pearls”, our local history makers in the community. Persons who have contributed significantly in their community are eligible. Persons from the following 8-county area (that include the Wayland Blue Ridge Association) are eligible: Madison, Greene, Orange, Rappahannock, Fauquier, Spotsylvania, Louisa, and Culpeper. To nominate someone, please provide the following: your name, mailing address and phone number, the nominee’s name, mailing address, phone number, and a brief biography (1 page) of your nominee’s accomplishments. Jan. 3: Red Cross Bloodmobile
Rest and relax while donating blood at the Red Cross Bloodmobile on January 3, 2007 from 37p.m. at the Washington Volunteer Rescue Squad. Jan: 7: Piedmont Softball Annual banquet
Piedmont Softball Association’s fifth annual banquet is scheduled for Saturday evening, January 7, beginning at 6:00 pm at Bill Payne Auction Gallery in Amissville.
Trophies will be awarded to 2006 PSA players; as always, there will be special recognitions presented. For the first time, not only will all families and friends of PSA players be welcome, but any other girls interested in learning more about playing softball with Piedmont for the first time in 2007 (and their families) are invited to attend this special evening, too, regardless of their place of residence.
