Lynne Mackey, classical pianist, will appear in concert at the BB&T Center in Luray on January 20 at 7:30 p.m. This performance is sponsored by Tap Here Technology and the Virginia Commission for the Arts.
Dr. Mackey’s vibrant performances make a wide range of classical music accessible to audiences of all ages. A graduate of The Julliard School with a doctorate from the Eastman School of Music, Dr. Mackey brings both traditional and contemporary classical pieces to the concert stage. Her formidable skills are enhanced by her warm, engaging stage presence. Her diverse repertoire ranges from the lyrical beauty of Chopin to the experimental wizardry of John Cage.
Tickets are available at Luray-Page County Chamber of Commerce, McKim and Huffman Pharmacy, Luray Copy Service, Luray Apothecary and Stanley Pharmacy. Adult tickets are $12, 65 and over are $11 and children 12 and under are $6.Tickets are usually available at the door, but Performing Arts Luray recommends that patrons purchase tickets in advance. The Box Office at the BB&T Center for the Performing Arts opens 45 minutes before the start of the event.
