The season of giving and merriment has arrived. The Piedmont United Way would like to extend the warmest of wishes, peace and happiness as you gather with friends and family at this special time.
December marks not only the holiday season, but it is a time when many important financial decisions are made. This is when we assess what we have earned for a living. It is important to realize, too, that tax deductible donations to the Piedmont United Way have a direct impact within the regional community. A few of the many human service organizations supported by the Piedmont United Way include the Meals for Seniors Program, SAFE (Service to Abused Families), Healthy Families, Culpeper Free Clinic, Skyline Head Start, Boys and Girls Club of Orange, and OPTIONS.
Programs supported by the Piedmont United Way is “what matters” in the Piedmont Region. Money raised here in our region by Piedmont United Way stays in our region to help area residents when help is needed. Now is an excellent time to continue the positive work of the Piedmont United Way while lowering taxes for you at the same time.
One way to lower your taxes is to give to the Piedmont United Way by simply writing a check by December 31. If you itemize on your tax return, you can lower your 2006 income taxes this way. Make sure your
