A new organization has formed due to concern over transmission lines proposed by Dominion Power, Allegheny Power and PJM Interconnection. Virginians for Sensible Energy Policies (VSEP) is a coalition of local groups, electric customers, families, farmers, workers and citizens of all ages. VSEP is organized to study energy policy, educate the public, and litigate to protect the environment and property rights.

VSEP is particularly concerned about a proposal by Dominion Power to construct a 40-mile, 500-kv transmission line from the Meadow Brook Substation in Frederick County, Virginia to the Loudoun County Substation in Aldie, Virginia. The line will
