Camp Program Coordinator

Position with the Department of Parks, Recreation, and Community Services. Responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing Loudoun County 's Summer Camp and Year Round Specialty Camp programs for children. Manages an $800,000+ budget for camp programs, including specialty camp contracts, and ensures annual revenue projections are met. Coordinates the recruitment, hiring, training, and supervision of staff for more than 80 seasonal camp site supervisors, leaders, volunteers, and contractors. Provides customer service to participants and parents. Manages program registration, fee payments, and camp supplies. Schedules and coordinates facility use with Loudoun County Public Schools. Creates and distributes promotional materials to ensure maximum enrollment. Oversees Commonwealth of Virginia licensing process and requirements to ensure licensing compliance, which includes records management. Requires a combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in recreation, child care, education or related field and 2 years of directly related experience. The success candidate will possess strong supervisory skills and a proven background in leadership. Prefer knowledge of Commonwealth of Virginia licensing standards. Prefer Certified Parks & Recreation Professional. Valid drivers license. Must have certification in First Aid, CPR for adult, infant and child and TB test prior to beginning work.
