The impact of the possible power line has recently shown up in one more important area: the real estate market. .There is no market in this area right now,’ said Jim Wiley, owner of Wiley Real Estate in The Plains. ‘It has absolutely stopped. Nothing is moving, and I don’t think it will change until this issue is resolved.’ Herb Lisjak, broker for Century 21 in Warrenton said, ‘I know ft’s a little scary for some people, but they haven’t placed a value on it yet. The line could come through my neighborhood, so I have an avid interest in it, but so far, I haven’t seen people adjust a price on a property. At this point, it’s still just a threat, but if it becomes real, I fully expect people to respond in a pricing fashion.’
