Jan. 13: Mountain music benefit
The band Chesham Creek will perform at the Washington fire hall in a benefit for Cory Keeley. Fiveyear-old Cory suffers from Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL). The band, famed for its mountain music, will play from 7 to 10 p.m. There will be a minimum ten dollar donation at the door. Please join, have fun, and help the family with the medical costs. Culpeper Little League will be holding registrations for the upcoming 2007 season, on Saturday, January 13, from 9-12, Wednesday, January 17, from 6-8.30 p.m., and Saturday, January 20, from 912. Essay Contest
The United Daughters of the Confederacy, Culpeper Chapter #73, cordially invite all Rappahannock County students, grades 1-12, to participate in an annual essay contest. We encourage any public, private or home schooled student to apply his or her knowledge of history. Cash prizes will be awarded and winners will be honored at a special ceremony. Essay instructions and rules may be obtained at the Rappahannock County Library, the Rappahannock County Elementary School, or Rappahannock County High School. All entries are due by March 1,2007.
