Nobiz Like Shobiz is a talented individual, who has accomplished more at this stage in his career than Funny Cide had. Funny Cide also had some emotional baggage that Nobiz doesn’t. (Barclay said that Funny Cide saw tigers and bears in every shadow, while nothing fazes Nobiz.)
So Fd like to pick Nobiz, but I’m also aware of the “Rail Chatter Jinx.” Normally FA pick a horse in this space every year; and every year like clockwork, that horse runs a well-beaten fourth. Four years ago I pulled the old reverse-karma thing and picked Funny Cide to run
and voUa! He won it! So that’s what Fll do this year.
The Derby is a great race, and a great betting opportunity if you keep your eyes open. This year Fll stand with Street Sense. His trainer seems to have brought him to the race in meat shape. In second, I see Great Hunter, and then banging up for third I see Tiago. In fourth, I’ll take Nobiz Like
