Regional Art Show

The 60th Neighborhood Art Show and Sale will be held May 11 -13 at Grace Episcopal Church in The Plains, showing original works of art in a beautiful setting. This annual event continues a rich tradition of highlighting area artists who live within a radius of 75 miles. It has grown into a regional showcase of works in oil and watercolor painting, photography and graphic media, sculpture, ceramics, textiles and mixed media. The event begins Friday evening with an opening gala from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Art show patrons and exhibitors will have a treat for all the senses while they view the hundreds of original art entries, enjoy fine food and drink. The show and sale continues through the weekend Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 1-5 p.m. Admission is $15 per person for the Friday Gala, complimentary to sponsors and exhibitors. The nationally acclaimed bluegrass artists The Gibson Brothers will perform live in a benefit concert at the Rappahannock High School Auditorium on Saturday, May 12, at 7 p.m. Opening for the band will be Virginia’s own Chesham Creek. Net proceeds from the concert will benefit the Rappahannock County School Sports Association (RCSSA) and the Rappahannock Band Boosters. Tickets are $20 and may be purchased in advance by check payable to RAAC for pick up at the door by calling 540-675-3193. Tickets may also be purchased through the RCSSA, the Band Boosters, and at the following music stores: Drum & Strum in Warrenton; Culpeper Music in Culpeper. Tickets may be purchased by cash, check, or credit card at the door. Seating is limited.
