Picnic

A class picnic is a time to remember the old and the good times and for everyone to have fun.
It is also a time where classmates, friends and family get together and have time to share what has been going on in their lives over the years.
This was for the students and teachers from the classes 1948 through 1962.
The High School picnic was held on Sunday, April 22, at the Rappahannock County Park in Washington. Some fond memories came alive for them.
Among the 203 that attended the picnic, there were three teachers: Mr. Nick Cascio, baseball and basketball coach; Charlotte Golliday Nichols, music; and Betty Wood, home economics.
Buddy Devers of Front Royal gave a message from God’s Word and gave thanks for the meal.
Everyone outdid themselves when it came to the food and dessert. “There was so much delicious food, it was hard to select what to get first,” said Besty Norman.
Debbie Zinn and her Natural Grass Band entertained them with music and songs. Members of the band were Wes Gray on the fiddle, Ron Patterson, bass, Arthur Pbtterson, mandolin, Debbie Zinn, lead singer, Charles “Dude” Settle, lead guitar.
Guest players included Steve Norman, guitar, Ronnie Poe, banjo, Arthur Pullen, guitar and singer, and Richard “Dickie” Dennis, guitar and singer. Their singing was a blessing to everyone.
They had a guest book for everyone to sign in, but some of the people failed to signin, so they did not get all the names recorded.
