Soprano Jacqueline Neimat and tenor Daniel Holmes return to the Theatre at Washington, Virginia, ’ on Saturday, May 12 at 8 p.m. with an evening of romantic and delightful music. The program is aptly titled “Wine, Women and Song in Opera and Operetta.”
The first half of the evening’s performance is devoted to music from opera, specifically arias for soprano or tenor, and duets, from by Verdi and from and , both by Puccini. After the intermission the program shifts focus to the light hearted songs about wine and women, love and romance, in operettas such as by Sigmund Romberg, by Johann Strauss, and to music of Franz Lehar, Victor Herbert and Jacques Offenbach.
Ms Neimat is active in musical circles in the metropolitan area of Washington D.C., having performed at Strathmore Hall, the Arts Club of Washington, and several diplomatic venues
