May 6-11: Shenandoah National
Park Spring Trail Crew
Volunteers 18 and older are invited to participate in the annual Central District Spring Trail Crew operated by Shenandoah National Park and the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club. The work area may be on or near Old Rag Mountain, but current needs will dictate. Shower, food, bunks, and equipment are provided. Participants must bring work gloves, boots, and bedding or sleeping bag. Arrival about 4 pm on May 6; departure mid-afternoon May 11. Additional crews/dates are available. The Culpeper Minute Men Chapter of the NSDAR will hold their Tuesday, May 8,1:30 p.m. meeting at the Culpeper Train Depot -109 South Commerce Street. The program: ‘Signers of the Culpeper Stamp Act Protest, 1765” will be presented by Attorney Michael Sharman. The Chapter includes members from Rappahannock, Culpeper, and Madison Counties.
