Your blood saves lives! Please mark your calendar and plan to donate. Remember to drink lots of fluids - water or juice are best ~ the day before and the day of the blood drive. Avoid caffeine, alcohol, and fatty foods. To give blood, you must be generally healthy, 17 years of age of more, and weigh at least 110 pounds For further information, call the Red Cross at 8258611.

May 1-4: WCDS Book Fair

Wakefield Country Day School is hosting the Bedford Falls Book Fair from Tuesday, May 1, through Friday, May 4 , from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with evening hours on May 4. The public is welcome. May 3: Kindergarten registration

All children who will be five years old by September 30, 2007 may enter Kindergarten this August. Registration for new kindergartners will be held at RCES on Thursday, May 3. The hours are 9 a.m.-1l:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. by appointment. If you know of any children in Rappahannock County who will be five by September 30 (including your own), we would greatly appreciate your giving us that information so that we may contact their parents and arrange an appointment. Each Friday through May 18, at 7 p.m., the Castleton Community Volunteer Fire Department located at 593 Castleton View Road, will be having their shooting matches. 12-gauge shotguns, no scopes or sleeves. Neat prizes. For more information, phone Joe Peregory at 540-9376163.
