May 12: Build a rain barrel
Culpeper Soil & Water Conservation District & Virginia Cooperative Extension will hold a "Build Your Own Rain BarreT Workshop on Saturday May 12 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Young Farmers Pavilion in Madison County. The cost will be $30 for 1 barrel or $50 for 2 barrels, including all necessary hardware. Participants will also receive a box lunch. Rappahannock County Conservation Alliance (RCCA) is hosting the Third Annual Rappahannock Evening View. This event recognizes Rappahannock’s recent conservation easement donors and benefits the Rappahannock County Farmland Preservation Program. This year the event will be held at Montpelier, the home of Roger and Sophie Scruton, and will begin at 6:00 p.m. Silent auction items will be available. Open seating is $ 125/per person though sponsorship tables for a party of ten are available for $3,500, $2,500 or $1,500. Join us for a lovely evening and support land conservation in Rappahannock.
