May 5: Spring Bird Walk
The Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection’s Biodiversity Task Force will hold its spring bird walk at Jordan River Farm on Saturday May 5 at 9 am, led by Shenandoah National Park Ecologist and Data Manager Dr. Alan Williams. Bird migration should be at its peak and Jordan River Farm offers a great mix of fields, forests, and ponds to see birds from hawks to hummingbirds. All adults and older children are welcome, from novices end experienced birders, but participants must be registered in advance since the walk is limited to twenty-five participants. May 5: “Relay for Life” Benefit
Jbin us for a musical presentation of the “Diversity of Gosper performed by the Shead Family Singers (Bluegrass), The Men’s Chorus from the Promise Land Baptist Church (Traditional) and the Stone Ridge Band (Bluegrass). All performers are local and will share their distinct and different sounds of gospel music. The Washington Baptist Church will sponsor this event on May 5th, 2007 at 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P. M. at The Washington Baptist Church on Gay Street, Washington. Come and enjoy great music and light refreshments. Donations will be collected for the benefit of Rappahannock Relay for Life. Any contribution you can make will be greatly appreciated.
May 6: Blue Ridge
Crafters Boutique
The next Blue Ridge Crafters Boutique of 2007 will take place on Sunday, May 6, at the Reva Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company, Route 29 South, Reva, Virginia from 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. The boutique will take place the first Sunday of every month (with the exception of January and July) and public admission to the event is FREE. Our most exciting new item for the May show will be compliments of Cloud 9 Amusements, a party business coming soon to Culpeper. They plan to set-up a Moonbounce for all young children to enjoy for FREE! Bring the whole family for a fun afternoon to shop, visit and play! May vendors will showcase gifts and ideas for Mother's Day. Feel free to browse the room to find that perfect gift for Mom or Grandma! Graduation, Father’s Day and end-ofschool-year teacher's gifts will be featured, too. We also have 10 new vendors participating at this show from all around the Blue Ridge area!
