which they live, including valuable experience, volunteerism, and diversity. Thus, apprehension about how to deal with a large increase in the elderly population is not just a concern about one segment of society, but what to do to create a supportive community for all ages.

Concrete successes attest to what the RRCSB and its partner organization, Aging Together, are doing to prepare for the large increase in older citizens in our five-county area. Among those actions already in place are:

• A grant of $750,000 in 2006 from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to implement strategies designed to impact services for area seniors

• Creation of a new Adult Day Care Center to serve our area

• Medication assistance for elders
