He’s thinking about toying with hydrogen power to eliminate the need to use gas. A year from now, he hopes to be cooking and heating water with hydrogen power.
“There are a lot of things that might not work out,” Koral said. Tm an experimenter [and] this is a laboratory.
“Everything on the farm that uses energy is under evaluation now,” he said.
Koral’s plan is to make his organic farm a nature center where he can also teach students about alternative energy.
“We’ve had a lot of kids out and Fd like to continue that,” he said.
Arid Koral wants to help others who are interested in living off the grid make that jump.
“I want to encourage people who are thinking about it,” he said.
“I would advise people to do their homework before diving into something like this,” he warned. “But if it’s planned out it can work.”
